Senior Show Identity

The identity for this show was all about creating an air of anticipation. We methodically rolled out photo sets of our class, released content on Instagram, put up posters around campus, and handed out invitations. Meanwhile we prepared at a fever pitch behind the scenes, first building a complete 3D model of the show layout, then bringing it all to fruition with hammer and nail (well, really mostly drill and screw).

In the end it was all worth it. We created a show that we hope will set a standard for years to come.

This work was a collaborative effort between me and some wonderful classmates of mine. I would especially like to thank Cynthia Yeung, Diane Vaquerano, Aaron Albonetti, Phillip Cheung, Sterling Foxcroft, and Mark Su for their efforts in making this show the success it was.

ONE LAST THING:

For the last two years as graphic design students at Long Beach State, we have lived and breathed this program. We’ve studied under some truly inspiring professors, worked alongside many talented classmates, and pushed ourselves to the brink. Yes, our friends and families know us only by our Instagram accounts and we’ve spent more time in the studio than our own homes, but we’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. The experience we’ve had in this program has shaped who we are and who we will become.

This show is the culmination of that experience. It is not only a reflection of our time spent in and out of the classroom; it is also a look into our creative process. It is a testament to the hard work put in by every single person in this department and a dedication to the professors and classmates that have gotten us here. It is our thank you, our hello, and our goodbye. It is our One Last Thing. (written by Aaron Albonetti)
